Who Would Have Thought a Liquid Diet Would Make you Need to Potty So Much

I've said it once and I'll say it again. Free stuff rocks!! Kiersten and I both got 2 of these free smoothie cards from Healthy Style Living (just located on 200 North-Burger Alley), so we grabbed Ben and used em up!
It's a pretty good deal! They gave us this aloe-vera drink (it was interesting), some tea (they were sure to mention that the 70 approved of the raspberry and lemon haha) that... well let's just say Kiersten had to choke mine down for me :P, and a DELICIOUS protein shake! I got the Dulce de Leche :D Those were so good! So filling though. Anyways, if you go there, I would recommend the smoothie. So worth it! Oh, but if you do this free thing, make sure you're near a toilet for the next couple hours, because you just drank a ton of stuff and WILL need to take a trip to the bathroom a couple times in a row. Ha.

Not So Great, Great Value

Ya. Never will I EVER use a Great Value recipe again. This is what happens.
Ok, so these don't LOOK that bad, but they are. The insides are barely done and the edges are crispy, crispy. This was the first batch. The second batch was worse. The bottoms and edges were charcoal and the middles were still raw dough. What. The heck?? The same thing happened once last year!
See?? Except the edges were so much more burnt this time :P Lame. Apparently they were still delicious though, so I'll eat em! Just aren't pretty :P So ya. Let me repeat. I will NEVER EVER use a Great Value recipe again.

Applesauce Chocolate Chip Cookies

What a freakin AWESOME weekend!! Holy cow, so fun. Wanna hear about it? :)
K, so Friday, Ben and I got to go and spend the day in St. George after classes! We visited my amazing family, went to the fastest temple trip ever (those baptistery workers let no time waste!), then went to the amazingly, fantastically, and wondrously delicious Sweet Tooth Fairy for some heavenly cupcakes! Ya. I will own one of those (or my own shop like it) one day.
Saturday, boyfriend, friends, and I wanted to go make breakfast at Ben's grandparent's lot up the canyon. Well, it was freakishly rainy yesterday, so when we got up there, of course all the wood was soaking wet, so a fire was impossible to make haha
But that didn't stop us from enjoying the absolutely gorgeous fall leaves and weather up there :)

But we were still all starving, so we went back to mine and Kiersten's house and made a great breakfast with eggs, hash browns, blueberry Belgian waffles, sourdough bread w/ nuttela (drooooool. SO good.), and orange juice :)

And what a better way to work off that filling breakfast than with some Just Dance 3??
After a great Saturday Stake Conference session, there was a party in our house haha It was sweet! So Kiersten and I had already decided we would cheat our Friday rule, so a few friends and I made Applesauce Chocolate Chip cookies! Holy flippin bananas. These are so good. And they make so many!!!! It was awesome :)
What were the rest of the bajillion people in our house doing? Learning freakin legit line dances from this crazy good dancer, Thaddeus. If only pictures could capture exactly how awesome this dudes dancing skills are!
See? I told you it was a great weekend :)

Muddy Buddies

Must be General Conference time! Tis a tradition to indulge in this delicious and easy to make treat :)
9 cups Rice Chex, Corn Chex, or Chocolate Chex cereal
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Into a large bowl, measure cereal, set aside

In microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter uncovered on high for 1 minute; stir. Microwave about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated (this is the best part! Using your hands is the best way to mix the chocolate mix and cereal together :) ). Pour into two gallon resealable food storage plastic bags.

Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Coat the bowl used to cover the cereal with the chocolate mixture with a little powdered sugar and pour the coated cereal back into the bowl.

Careful though, this stuff is very addicting ;) Enjoy!
