Homemade Butterfingers

Meet my real life anime friend. Her eyes are huge and gorgeous, but that's not what we're here to talk about! What is she holding? Any guesses? Butterfingers. But not ones you can buy at the store. Homemade. How many ingredients? 3. Think I'm lying? I'm not. Go here, make them, eat them, die of happiness.

Terryaki Chicken

So these people that I'm related to are quite amazing and they make amazing food. When they gave me this recipe, I had to try it. I was NOT disappointed one bit. Quite the opposite actually :) Here's all you gotta do. Get some chicken breasts, marinate them in 1 cup Soy Sauce + 1 TBS sugar for 15-20 min. Fry em', grill em', whatever you want to do to em', then devour!! Oh. so. good.

Nutella Cookies

I've been introduced to Pinterest. I pinned my first pin. I'm addicted. And what is my biggest board? The food one of course! ;) So I decided to finally make something off of it :) Nutella Cookies! If you're wondering if they were super good, the answer is yes. However, it was a very dry mix, so don't freak out when you make it :)

Spicey Chicken

I love my two closest friends at SUU. So to show them a little appreciation, I made them dinner :D This dish looks fancy, so you would think it would be hard to make, right? Wrong!!! So. Flippin. Easy. And so good! Beware though, I've never had such spicy chicken in my life. Especially when you use Pepper Jack cheese. Kiersten, like me, loves the spice, so we were crying tears of joy, but little did I know that Rissa cannot stand spicy stuff. Bahaha the poor girl almost died ;) Ye be warned!
P.S. I blame my camera on this shame of a picture. It tastes much better than it looks, I promise.

Fantabulous Flapjacks

I have one word for this brilliant breakfast item. Fanfreakingtastic. Yes, that is a word. Thank you, Aunt Virginia for giving my family this Fantabulous Flapjack mix for Christmas 7 years ago :) Oh and like I said before, I only eat treats on Monday's, so since I put a plethora of syrup on these, I count them as a Monday thing, making the tradition of having these every Monday morning for breakfast :)

Choo Choo Train Fried Rice

This, this heaven sent meal was my favorite food to eat when I lived at home. My freshman year at SUU I didn't have the luxury of having a kitchen where I lived, so whenever I came back home, my momma would welcome me back with this :) Choo Choo Train Fried Rice! Don't ask me how we got the name for this, because I have no idea. It just happened one day and it stuck :)
So now that I actually have the means to make delicious things, of course I want to try this! Here's a story though. Every time I would see my mom make this, the kitchen would get freakishly hot, it was hectic, and honestly, I was very scared to try and make this by myself. BUT! I did it and guess what? Yes, it's pretty fast paced (so I would recommend measuring everything out while the rice is cooking), but it was surprisingly easy! You work your muscles a bit from stirring so much, but if you're working out while making a scrumptious meal what's there to complain about?

Peanut Butter Bars. *droooooooooool*

My dear, sweet cousin, Steevi came to visit for the weekend and we decided to make something to make our tummies happy :) After asking and asking and searching and searching, my awesome friend, Kiersten's mom had a recipe for Peanut Butter Bars! Hooray! I didn't get a copy of the recipe, so if you want it... well... best of luck to ya ;) But I will tell you that we used a secret ingredient for the frosting mixture! Ready... NUTELLA.

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy.

We're in college. We're hungry. We're bored. What do we do? Make Chocolate Cover Pretzels :) Kinda self explanatory, yes?

Only in College...

So what happens when you and your roommate can't sleep? You make muffins at 3:00 in the morning :) This was just a box recipe, but they were probably the best Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins ever. The fact that we were loopy might have helped the taste level, but who cares ;)

Fantastic Frittata's

Ok, so here's the thing. I already wake up early enough to get myself semi-decent for the world that I don't want to have to spend an extra 10 minutes to cook, eat, and burn my esophagus with Malt-O-Meal everyday. Soooooo I make these! They're delicious, easy to make, and good for you :) What other reasons are there? Just make these the night before, then nuke 'em in the microwave and off you go to live your busy life!

Chocolate Pudding Cake

What's up fellow bloggers? Alright, this is my first attempt at my own blog, so I hope all goes well :) Now! I'm back down at the wonderful Cedar City to attend my second year at the best college ever, Southern Utah University. I love this school so flipping much and will NOT go anywhere else for my education. I've made great friends, learned a lot of educational and social lessons, have made fantastic memories, and can't wait to see what this year has in store :)
So there's something you should know about me. Years ago, I wasn't really happy with the way I was fittin into clothes. So I decided to change that. After a plethora of attempts, I found a life habit that worked like magic. I got rid of all sweet or treats in my diet, except for one day of the week. The day I chose was Monday. Why Monday you may ask? Well, A. Everyone hates them, so why not make Monday a better day by getting my weeks worth of sugar in it, eh? ;) B. I am LDS and my family and I do FHE every Monday night, which usually includes a delicious treat and I did NOT want to have to pass those up each week. So the healthy eating habit began. It took a complete year to actually be good at it (there were many days where I "cheated"), but it finally became a habit and IT WORKED. I instantly noticed a difference and loved the results. So, 4ish years later, I'm still doing the same thing. If you're wanting to lose weight, this is an EXCELLENT way to do so. It's very hard to reject a delicious brownie the day after (or especially before) your treat day, yes, but your body will thank you every day you do it.
SO all that being said, I do love my Mondays. They are my favorite days. I call them my happy days :) And I usually celebrate by making something yummy for my tummy on these days :) Being back at school in an unfamiliar kitchen and not a lot of ingredients, I looked through my mom's blog (click here to visit this blessed site) and found the perfect thing. Hollilyn's Chocolate Pudding Cake. This dense, chocolaty, heavenly goodness is to die for! It's ridiculously easy to make and will satisfy and chocolate craving. Just be sure to have a glass of milk ready ;) PS please be so kind as to ignore the horrible quality of the picture :P Hopefully those will get better as time progresses.
