Inception Brownies

Will Pinterest cease to fill me with delicious baking ideas? I think not! But since this is like the third time I've talked about Pinterest, I guess I should introduce it to those who sadly haven't heard of it. This is the website, if you want an invite, just put a lil comment and I'll send you one :) Careful though, it's addicting!
Alright, so that being said, I pinned this on my board one day and decided to treat my friends and I. Using my this brownies recipe, I began to create what was soon to be the death of me. Here's all you gotta do. Follow the brownie recipe (I nixed the chocolate and mint chips, but I bet they would be delish with it!), pour just enough batter in a pan to cover the bottom, place Oreos wherever your heart desires, cover with the rest of the batter, bake, cut, taste, die, be reborn, and repeat.
P.S. in case you were curious, I changed my treat day from Monday to Friday. I love having it be on Monday's, because it starts the week out great ;) It's just a lot easier to not have to say no to delicious snacks when I'm with my friends and such on a Friday night. Let's see how this works out :)

Salmon Salad

It's summer. It's hot. Don't touch me. Only feed me delicious, cold, filling food. What's that? You don't know any? Shame. Here, this is the only one you'll need.

Cute 'Lil Sugar Cookies

Spring break is over and I'm back at school. That's cool and all, but I'm bored and want to use my new Kitchen Aid that I came home to! So after searching for a while, I found these. Well, I didn't have anything to make the cinnamon part with, so I just made these into cute 'lil regular cookies :) And instead of using that glaze recipe, I used this one. Although it wasn't my treat day, so I didn't have any, my roommates said they were good, so I'll take their word for it ;)

Coconut Cream Pie

I love coconut. I really do. So why have I never tried Coconut Cream Pie before? Your guess is as good as mine! But, being home (meaning not having to buy the ingredients) I decided to make it! Plus my family had made it while I was at school and I was bummed I missed out on it :P Anyways! This. Was. Heaven. Holy cow!!! Probably one of my favorite desserts now! I can't believe I've never tried this delectable mean until now! Don't be a sinner like me and try it now. Right now. I mean it.

Pumpkin Pie

My younger older brother got back from faithfully serving a mission today!! Hurray!! The whole family is now back together again :) Now in honor of his homecoming, I decided to make his favorite dessert, which just so happens to be this. Bon appetite and welcome home brother :)

Perfect Pot Pie

Remember those cute little frozen pot pies your mom used to buy when you were little? You know, the ones that would always explode out the bottom and they were pretty much the best things ever? Well guess what. We've progressed in our pot pie abilities. Now we have THIS! Holy cow. So flippin good. You'll never want to buy a frozen pot pie ever again. Yes, this takes quite the preparation, but you know what, it's totally worth it.

Whole Wheat Chocolate Chips

So my brother, Dave went to San Diego this past weekend. He asked if I wanted to go and stupidly enough I thought I was too busy with school, so I let the chance slide on by. Dumb decision. However! He did end up bringing back a FANTASTIC Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe, so that's a plus I guess :) But guess what? When you make these in Cali, they turn out ridiculously fluffy and gorgeous. When you make em here, ummmm, they're not as fluffy, but still just as delicious!!
3/4 C Unsalted Butter
1 C Sugar
1 C Light Brown Sugar
1 1/2 tsp Vanilla
... 2 eggs
2 C sifted Whole Wheat Flour (sift the flour first, then measure it out)
1 C Flour
3/4 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
2 C Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips

Pre-heat oven to 375. Cream butter & sugar. Mix in vanilla & eggs. Combine flours, baking soda & salt. Gradually blend flour mix into butter mix. Fold in chocolate chips and drop onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 min. Let cool for 2 seconds, scald your mouth with the scrumptious melty, gooey, cookie goodness, and enjoy :)

Homemade Thin Mints

Remember how I mentioned Pinterest? Ya, well I saw something I wanted to try again :) Thin Mints! They're one of the best things the Girl Scouts bring around, so I thought, why can't I make em! So when I came home for Spring Break, my good friend, Austin and I tried it out :) Guess what? They turned out pretty good! Not exactly like the real deal, but good enough for a first try I think :)
